mick's rhd 23 window double door samba

i have just bought a 23 window double door rhd samba imported for me by keith at vw relics .i will be doing a total resto on it including hydrolics front & rear safaris all round popout all polished it will be having 1641 engine twin 40s so toal cost of resto appox 10k all work done by me & dear wife (electrics). For a new bus nice and old
off to vw relics we were told
looking for a rare car or van
keith at relics is your man
all the vans he did show
what to pick we did not know
our eyes on a crew cab scabby and old
asked how much ? he said "sorry its sold "
for our special van he's not got
feeling sad he said worry not
on the way home he did ring
a 23 window he could bring
the next day done was the deal
bought unseen were we real
we thought what have we done
we must have known she's the one
getting photos but to no avail
then came a surprise e-mail
there she was with rust and rot

what a surprise double doors she's got
the bus is coming home a date keith gave
on the ferry from denmark please be brave
when the boat came there was a empty space
the upset and disappointment we had to face
in the field she is to stay
out of the snow there is no way
if the snow melts we know not when
this month or next she stays till then
we went to the docks to help keith out
thats what being friends is all about
towing a beetle home in wind and rain
I was only doing fifty he did claim
when she comes home we will fix and do
for our old bus will be good as new
the name of heidi we have given
she will be a pleasure when she is driven
so it thanks to keith for the pain and pleasure
for our 23 window samba we will always treasure.
