1976, yes 76, this bus was built in
Brazil hence the age, production still continued in South America after it
finished in Germany, the majority of the panel presses etc. were
shipped over to brazil towards the end of the 70's. The overall look of
these vehicles is similar however if you take a closeser look you
will notice quit a few differences. The vw badge is embossed in to
the front panel, the loading doors are more comparable with the barn door
equivalent, I also seem to remember it having all early running
gear, and if you look closely you can see the early pull handles on the
front doors, odd don't you think on a late bus. I read an article on these
vehicles and it seems that when they were in production they used what
ever they could to complete a van! It would appear that the trend has
repeated it's self as they are still producing bay window type II's! This
