1958 lhd deluxe owned by Keith Turner, the bus is originally from the States, and now resides in Yorkshire. It looks in very reason condition and very restorable. No doubt it will receive the full VW Relics treatment.

One bad bus!
1958_58G23.jpg (95863 bytes) 58 G 23 - 1958 LHD deluxe built by a guy called Richard in south London. He sold it to a guy in Ireland but I think the bus is now back in England. The colour scheme is cream over pastel green. photo taken in Ireland 1999. That's about all I can tell you about this one.
1958_317GPE.jpg (57023 bytes) 1958 RHD samba owned by Alan Scott (Scotty), registration number 317 GPE, the chassis number is 365971. Scotty has been working on this bus as long as I have know him (7/8 years) and it's still at this stage!! He has a really nice 61 Devon interior for it and has all the right parts and period accessories to complete it, I also know that it will be getting the IRS treatment and a big motor, not to mention the alloy wheels and disk brakes etc. so come on mate, get it sorted, or are you rebuilding it for you grand children!
1958_Charlie_Highgate.jpg (56645 bytes) 1958 - RHD deluxe owned by Charlie Highgate Brentford, London, I took this photo in about 97, I don't think the bus has had much done to it since.

HSL 680 -  My old 1958 RHD Devon interior samba, sporting a hot 1835 motor with twin 40 dellortos, full flow oil system etc. etc. Running gear has been modified i.e. strait axle conversion, and adjustable front beam. The wheels are raiders with 125's on the front, and 195's on rear, front brake drums have been replaced with disks, this bus really shifts!! It now belongs to Jim Marrin who has completed the interior and got it looking really nice.

Update 19 JUN 2002

This will pull your wig off! 1958 deluxe, with 1900 turbo motor, the right side of 200 bhp!! Built by my man Matt Keen for Jim Marrin, (my old Bus).
